Background Noise is about memories, nostalgia, and perception. When I experience something, I run that experience through my head on repeat, stuck on loop like a broken tape. Each time that tape makes a pass, the surface deteriorates just a little bit more. It gets dusty, it builds static, rips are tears form in the fabric of the memory. That which I experienced is now altered, and sometimes becomes something else entirely. Background Noise is a world where things are not always as they seem, an experiential representation of how memories live and replay within our minds.
